Monique Lualhati sings Mariah Carey’s ‘Butterfly’ to express her experience of letting go. The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 had finally chosen the Top 8 for semi-finals with the help of the voying public on February15, 2015. Team Sarah’s Monique Lualhati, Jason Dy, and Kokoi Baldo did not back down, pouring their hearts in their chosen song.

Monique Lualhati shares of letting go. She had let go of a certain person she had met in school though she still loves him. Her parents shared how hurt she had been. The family of the man did not like Monique and she was hurt. Sarah said that she must feel the emotion and let it flow in her performance. In the end Monique said that the man she loves is like a butterfly she wanted to let fly.

Lea opined that her high expectations had been met. She had seen Monique’s pain in her face and voice. Sarah said that her vulnerability was felt. It has been simple yet very much felt. She also shared that such love is bound to be somewhere where it belongs.
Last week, it was Kokoi Baldo who got the highest voting percentage for Team Sarah followed by Monique Lualhati. Jason Dy was saved by Sarah Geronimo. The voting lines had been opened after the three artist from Team Sarah had performed their pieces. The public was given only 5 minutes to vote. The one having the highest voting percentage will be automatically saved while one will be saved by their coach. Only two will go on as part of The Voice of the Philippines Top 8 for Semi-Finals.
