The second artist who made it to the Blind Auditions of the November 30, 2014 episode was someone who earns a living by joining different singing contests. Her name is Mackie Cao, 23 years old from Los Banos, Laguna. She already stopped studying 2 years ago and what she is doing right now is travelling from one place to another to look for singing contests to join. For the record, she already joined 150 plus singing competitions for the past 2 years.

Mackie joined The Voice PH because she wanted to fulfill her late grandmother’s dream of seeing her on stage. Her grandmother said to her when she was still alive “Makita lang kita sa TV pwede na akong mamatay” but she cannot watch Mackie’s performance anymore. Mackie even wished there will be a television set where she is right now.

She performed the song “Listen” with a first line that got the coaches’ attention. She reached the high notes of the song that made Coaches Lea and turn their chairs. Mackie was so emotional after her performance especially when the coaches were already facing her.

Coach Bamboo said that she needed to let the vocal come out. The coach also said that he looks forward to seeing her progress. Coach Sarah also said that she did well, there were only parts of the song wherein there is a need to reduce something but she said that the two coaches who turned their chairs can help her for that.

Coach Lea said that as a singer, she is a story teller and she assured the artist that she can help her on that. Coach said that what he liked the most from Macke was she tried something new. Mackie decided to join’s team.
