Despite the bashing on Miley Cyrus’ controversial music video hit ‘Wrecking Ball, it did not stop the pop diva from claiming the title of MTV’s Video Of The Year Award on August 25, 2014. And as people expected of Miley Cyrus, she was able to catch interests, if not raised eyebrows, only this time not through twerking but by sending Jesse, a young homeless man, to collect her silver astronaut.

MTV Music Videos Award (MVA) is an annual “Grammy Award” when it comes to music videos. It showcases the best music videos on various categories before the summer ends. It started honoring artists in 1984 and now it is one of the most awaited and prestigious ceremonies that gives more fame to the celebrated winners.

Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” Wins MTV’S Video Of The Year 2014

Destiny Hope Cyrus, Miley’s real name, made a buzz in the world of entertainment when she twerked on stage at last year’s MTV Music Video Awards. This year Miley, sporting a tight leather tube top with matching leather pants, opted to promote a charity she’s supporting called ‘My Friends Place’ by asking a homeless man to do her speech and get her trophy. While there had been reports of ‘boo’s’ in the crowd, Miley did not stop her tears from flowing as she listened to her proxy speaker talked about making donations and helping for a cause.

This year nobody could argue that the “Wrecking Ball” had made quite a buzz. Now, it is not just the video of Miley’s rebellion against her Disney’s past, but also the MTV’s Video Of The Year 2014. Referece: MTV
