Anria Galang Espiritu a 26-year-old from Calumpit, Bulacan was allegedly raped and killed by more than two suspects last August 14, 2014, Thursday. Her dead body was seen floating in a rice field wearing gray t-shirt and skirt without undergarments. Three Suspects were arrested and one more on the hunt as of August 19, 2014.

The mother of the victim was worried that night, when she was not able to come home and she had a notion that something bad might have happened to her daughter. The daughter was identified through her latest profile picture which depicted her attire that day.

According to GMA News, the girl was stabbed to her death 20 times in the neck using a screwdriver. The family of Espiritu is now looking for justice and paying for the quick progress of the case. An investigation was conducted by the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) and found out that Espiritu’s underwear was missing and she was stabbed to death several times with a screwdriver which they found near her body. Because of this, they were suspected to be under the influence of drugs. Based on the result of an autopsy, she was raped by more than two persons and the number of stabs was more than 20.

Update as of August 18, 2014: At around 3 PM, the couple went back to the wake, but the driver was nabbed by the police. The police officer made the driver take off his clothes and they noticed a lot of scratches which he claimed to be a product of his quarrel with his wife. The name of the driver was Elmer Joson.

Update as of August 19, 2014 Two suspects were caught and they will undergo interrogations, one more suspect on hunt. According to P/Supt. Concio, Chief of Police, Calumpit, Bulacan, there were contradictions in the statements of the other witnesses especially of the friends of Anria.

Update as of August 23, 2014Anria Galang Espiritu was brought to her tomb on August 23, 2014.

Update as of August 26, 2014: New witness comes out as of August 26.

The two suspects were identified as Melvin Ulam and Ramil Diarca. The fourth suspect is still on hunt by the authorities.

Meanwhile, Espiritu’s family is crying for justice over the death of their family memberHer father even asked that the suspects would be shown to him and they will not hear any condemnation because God is the one who will take charge of everything.
