Katherine Medina is from Taguig. She is one of the kids who made it to the Blind Audition of The Voice Kids. She is 14 years old and at an early age, she has this kind of struggle in life. Her mother and father separated when she was still young and she is currently staying with her mother. She came from a family of singers that is why it was easy for her to acquire a good voice. She proved that life situations cannot limit dreams and that it is possible for someone to achieve his or her dreams by believing on his or herself.

Katherine made an excellent performance of Alicia Keys’ hit “If I Ain’t Got You” that made Coaches Bamboo and Sarah turn their chairs. And so it was up to Katherine who among the two coaches who turned their chairs will she give her fate on the competition. In the end, it was Coach Bamboo that emerged victorious.

Coach Bamboo said that Katherine sang it nice and clean and she did not “over sang” the song since there are so many singers who most of the time “over sing” it. In the case of Katherine, she did it very simple and natural. What made Coach Bamboo decide to turn his chair for Katherine is the good and convincing connection with him through her voice.

We can expect for more good performances for Katherine as she advances to the next level of the competition.
