After the attack that has shook the world, a video of a father carrying the lifeless bodies of his 9-month old twin children is breaking the hearts of many all over the internet.

Abdel Hameed Alyousef was seen holding his two babies each in an arm as he stroked their hair and held back his tears. He mumbled, ‘Say goodbye, baby, say goodbye.’

Aside from his two kids, Alyousef also lost his wife and other relatives in the suspected chemical gas attack last Tuesday in the northern town of Khan Sheikhoun, Syria. The attack has killed at least 72 people.

In the footage released by The Associated Press, the grieving man was sitting in the front seat of a van while carrying his twins. He asked his cousin to video his heartbreaking farewell to his children.
Alyousef was right beside his children when the airstrike happened, he said during an interview with the AP.

“They were conscious at first, but 10 minutes later we could smell the odor,” the 29-year old shop owner added.

His children and his wife, Dalal Ahmed, felt sick so he brought them to the paramedics. He went back to look for the rest of his family, but found the lifeless bodies of his two brothers, two nephews and niece along with neighbors and friends instead.

“I couldn’t save anyone, they’re all dead now,” the devastated father said.

He later found out that his children and wife also did not make it.

Alyousef himself was in a very bad shape and currently being treated for toxin exposure, according to his cousin Alaa. However, he is especially broken down by the loss of his friends and family.
