If you are a 90’s kid, you might love this news as the Lionsgate and Saban Films released the trailer for the upcoming Power Rangers on 2017 directed by Dean Israelite. For those who don’t know, it is about a group of 5 teenagers who are destined to save the world against the threats by aliens.

Movie Trailer of Power Rangers 2017 Finally Released
The trailer was originally planned to release at the New York Comic Con but it unexpectedly leaked so, the film’s production decided to just drop the official trailer. In the opening footage, 5 high school students from a fictional town Angel Grove were outcast at their school. They met at a restricted area where they found color-coordinated power coins. The next day, they discovered that they have special abilities including super strength, and amphibiousness. At the end of the trailer, there is an appearance of Rita Repulsa played by Elizabeth Banks who is known as one of the most iconic villains in the franchise.

The casts were lead by Dacre Montgomery (Jason the Red Ranger), Naomi Scott (Kimberly the Pink Ranger), Becky G (Trini the Yellow Ranger), RJ Cyler (Billy the Blue Ranger), and Ludi Lin (Zack the Black Ranger). Some familiar faces in the film were Bryan Cranston as the mentor of the Power Rangers and Bill Hader as the robot Alpha 5.

These will the franchise’s third live action movie. The first one was in 1995 entitled Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie in 1997 but both received negative reviews from the critics. Last May, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said that they are very excited for the upcoming Power Rangers film and they are even planning to do 5 to 7 movies more. As of this typing, the trailer now has more than 5 million views in less than a day.
