Former Ateneo Basketball Star Kiefer Ravena was seen supporting the team Bali Pure last October 13 where his girlfriend, Alyssa Valdez is part of against their opponent, the Bureau of Customs at the Shakeys V-League. Unfortunately for Ravena, he received a lot of hate from netizens when a video of him gone viral accidentally hitting a little girl beside him. The said video was uploaded by netizen name Basha Grace Levardo on her facebook account with a caption that Ravena was trending that night because of it.

As of this typing, the viral video had 586,218 views, liked by 4.1 K users and shared 6.9 K times but sadly, the uploader now deleted the video. Some of the netizens criticized the action of the former Ateneo Cager while the fans shielded Ravena. A netizen with a username Sarah Cuneta stated her opinion by saying that she saw it on tv and when Ravena knew that the camera was focused on him, he pretended to high five with the little girl but the latter shrugged it off.

Other netizens Rhea Mae Garcia, Jacob Plete, and Kylie Aubrey just expressed their disappointment by putting an angry emoticon. Meanwhile, netizens who are fans of Ravena defended him. Karen Calingasan said that the mother of the little girl revealed that the bashers should stop because they don’t know the whole story while Ivy Cervantes stated that Ravena and the little girl were just joking and haters were just overreacting.

Ravena refused to comment about this matter and focused his attention on FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final that will occur at United Arab Emirates. He will be accompanied by Karl Dehesa, Paolo Hubalde, and LA Tenorio. He is the son of the former PBA player Bong Ravena and he was given a monicker “King Eagle” during his UAAP days where he earned 2 Most Valuable Player award.
