It has been weeks and until now people are still waiting if Sen. Grace Poe will be running for presidency next year. However, other senators seemed to give their beliefs in this issue.

Poe seemed to be shutting down the option of running side by side with Sec. Mar Roxas under Pres. Aquino’s overture as the Administration’s ticket on next year’s election. Sen. Serge Osmeña told his belief to the Inquirer that Poe had already made up her mind to run for the presidency next year and she is already going through the motion.

Senators Think Grace Poe to Run in 2016 for Presidency
Sen. Vicente Sotto III aslso strongly believes that Sen. Poe will be running next year. He even shared that she might be running with Sen. Francis Escudero. He also added that Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) will be meeting by the end of the month and might most likely be supporting the Poe- Escudero team come 2016 election. Sotto said that many in the NPC are ready to support Poe, but they are still waiting for her decision.

Osmeña was Poe’s adviser during her candidacy as an independent senator, yet he broke ties with her, saying that he had disagreed with some of her moves. He also viewed that the senator still not ready to lead the country, yet if she does, she is better off with Roxas.

Last Monday, Poe shared that the president seemed to be in a difficult situation. After the five hour meeting, she said that they had made an agreement to work hard for the country and for the younger generation’s future.

The meeting had followed the meet up with Poe, Roxas and Escudero. The Monday’s meeting is perhaps the last one between the two before the awaited SONA of the president on July 27. The announcement on who the president will support in the coming election however might come in a later date.
