A father suing an alleged fake doctor for murder and syndicated estafa after the doctor gave stem cell procedures to his daughter was disappointed after the fiscals decided to only file estafa and illegal practice of medicine.
Bernard Tan said that the prosecutors had filed eight counts of estafa and illegal practice of medicine against the alleged fake doctor Antonia Carandang Park. The cases were filed in Tagaytay Regional Trial Court Branch 18 and Tagaytay Metropolitan Trial Court.
For Tan, Murder should have been filed instead as there was deception and intent. Ha had filed an appeal to the Department of Justice. He said that though she is fully ware that she has no right to practice as a doctor, she still did the stem cell treatments to his daughter, Kate Tan.
Tan now appeals for a review for syndicated estafa charges against Park and will bring the case of murder in the higher court. He had even tried to search for other complainants and testimonies to bring justice for his daughter.
He also shared that he has to agree for the eatafa case for now as it is better than nothing. He also said that e did not even received any notice from prosecutors that a resolution had already been reached. He had heard rumors about it and check it himself in the DOJ. Park was issued a warrant but she was able to post bail amounting to P32,500.
Tan aims for the justice to be served for his daughter as he is the only one who can do it for her despite his dwindling resources.
