According to MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino who is superheading the event, this year’s opening yield may have topped over the opening day gross last year which was 128 million pesos. More people had come on the opening day than last year that the ticket sales has been expected to have increased more than 10% compare the previous year.

‘The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin’ is now on the lead in 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival since December 25, 2014. Based on the numbers of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the movie starred by Vice Ganda is attracting the most viewers on the opening day.

The Amazing Praybeyt Banjamin is about the life of a national hero that turned into a personal guard of a boy played by Bimby Aquino-Yap. Yap’s role is a boy with genius intelligence an the only one who knows how to stop a bombs meant to blast the whole country. The movie was also watched by Kris Aquino, her brother President Noynoy Aquino and James Yap to support Bimby Aquino-Yap.
Vice Ganda headlined the entertainment news days before the movie premiers on Christmas day due to Bimby’s innocent question mentioning ‘Kevin’ during the live telecast of The Buzz on December 21, 2014. The boy simply asked if a certain Kevin is his boyfriend which the comedian denied. PBA player Kevin Alas clarified that he is only friends with Vice Ganda.
