Jason Fernandez joined The Voice of the Philippines in hope for another chance in the music industry. As a member of Rivermaya, he had been in the music industry which helped him to provide for his family financially. Since he was young, he had been joining various singing competition. He met his wife during his career, he got more inspired to embrace singing.
Singing the hit song ‘Huling El Bimbo’, people cheered at the artist who graced the stage. The coaches seemed to be in a travel down the memory lane, swaying at the song. The song is known to be iconic in the country. His ticket to the next round had been given to him as Apl De Ap turned his chair before the song draw to the close. Jason evidently let off a sigh of relief, to which many also cheered. Lea teased Apl De Ap that he had to wait for the last note before turning.
Apl said that he gained many ideas and told him that he had proven that he does not need to do anything extravaganza to make a song great. Jason promised to not to disappoint his new coach. Bamboo wished him good luck. Lea said ‘From one Rivermaya vocalist to another’.
