The second artist for the second episode of The Voice 2 is Kai Honasan from Marikina. She is a classical pianist and had been from a family of famous celebrities. Her mother is a medical technician for Red Cross while her father is the Senator Gringo Honasan. Kai is the youngest child and determined to make a name for herself.
Singing ‘Teenage Dream’ with a ukelele, she was able to pique the interest of the coaches. Three coaches, Apl De Ap, Bamboo, and Lea had immediately turned while Sarah waited before the song ends when she turned her chair.
She admitted that though her father is a politician, she wants to make herself her own legacy. Sen. Hoanasan came up the stage and shared that he hoped that the viewers can appreciate her talent.
Lea called her song a perfection as it is sweet to her ears. Apl De Ap even used a pick up line to get her approval to be in his team. Sarah told Kai that though she does not pushed her voice to the highest note, she has a unique style of her own. Bamboo said that he will be willing to push her towards the finals. She said that she had idolized Lea and dreamed to be Princess Jasmine but she had picked Coach Bamboo since she felt that they have the same style of music.
