Unveiled in 1954, Leica M3 is the very first Leica M-Camera that has the amazingly unique characteristics of the Leica M-System with its absolute mechanical and optical precision and a focus on the essential parameters needed for photography. This camera brings out the skills and visions of a photographer in his photos rather than with the use of special features. With the time span of 60 years, the unique characteristics that had been known in Leica M3 had been even pushed farther to the edge with technological innovations unparalleled with other cameras.

Leica Camera AG, Wetzlar had reached another two milestones to boast with pride and honor. Celebrating 60 years of Leica M rangefinder system in the industry and the 100 years of Leica photography that had given photographers the edge they are looking for.

Meet Leica M3 Edition 60 that Possess the Unique Characteristics of First Leica M-Camera-System
To celebrate the 60 years of being the top camera in the industry, a commemorative limited edition, Leica M Edition 60 had been unveiled by Leica Camera AG. This limited edition is a set consisting of Audi Design created Leica M-P digital camera (Type 240) and the fast Leica Summilux-M 35 mm f/1.4 ASPH. lens, both in special versions dedicated to pay homage to the essence of photography.
Leica M3 Edition 60 Actual Photo
Leica M Edition 60 is a camera so unique it is the first digital camera to have only the essential camera features concentration on shutter speed, aperture, focusing and ISO sensitivity. While ISO selector dial had replaced the camera display, the exposure files are saved as raw data in DNG format. Though it is still a digital camera, it must also be considered to be cared of as an analogue model with sensors.

Leica M Edition 60 brings out the essentially creative aspects of photography instead of the upperhand on technical features and menu settings. Photographers would be free to tinker with shutter speed, aperture, focusing and ISO sensitivity settings and just let their gift and skills come out of their unique, in depth photos.
