Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs 6th Edition finally released the most awaited music videos of top 15 track list to be competing for the grand title. The finals night will be held in the Araneta Coliseum on September 28.

Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs opened for entries since November 15 until January 31, 2014. Amateur and professional song writers, solo or group with as much as 3 members, who aspire to write Original Pinoy Music love songs were invited to express themselves in the prestigious competition. The 15 finalists songs were given a chance to be interpreted by artists and each one was made by various universities.

‘Simpleng Tulad Mo’ is composed by MJ Magno interpreted by Daniel Padilla. This entry made by Polytechnic University of the Philippines tells about a guy who dreams to have the simple girl that he likes. Together with Daniel is Kathryn Bernardo who was shown to depict the guy’s dream girl.


‘Walang Basagan ng Trip’ is composed by Eric de Leon and sung by Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz. This music video made by Miriam College is about the things people use to do everyday and expressing how people should just let them be.


‘Hangang Kailan’ is sung by Angeline Quito and composed by Joel Mendoza. The music video prepared by Ateneo de Manila University. Revolve around a woman who would wait for the guy she loves no matter how long.


‘Pare Mahal Mo Raw Ako’ wriiten by Joven Tan and sung by Michael Pangilinan is about a guy who discovered that his guy best friend romantically loves him. While he acknowledges the love, he can only offer back friendship. The music video was made by the students in University of the Philippines.


‘Bumabalik ang Nagdaan’ is a song composed by Sarah Jane Gandia and sung by Jessa Zaragoza. The music video prepared by Meridian International College dpicts a woman who always go back to the memories of a past love.


‘Everything Takes Time’ is the entry about young people who should take time to be young and grow. It is composed and sung by Hazel Faith Dela Cruz. The music video was made by the students of Adamson University.


‘Umiiyak ang Puso’ is about a guy who lost his love over a friend without him noticing it. It is composed by Rolando Azor, sung by Bugoy Drilon and the music video was made by St. Paul University Manila.


‘Halik sa Hangin’ is composed by David Dimaguila and sung by Ebe Dancel and Abra, while the music video is made by University of the East. The song is about a love that was cut short and if only he had another chance to get it back.


‘Hindi Wala’ is composed by Nica Del Rosarion, sung by Juris and made into video by De La Salle- College of St. Benilde. This song is about the negative comments in life and having hopes despite them.


‘If You Don’t Want to Fall’ is composed by Jude Gitamondoc, sung by Jed Madela and made into video by University of Santo Tomas. This is about a guy who loves someone and ready to change anything just so she would love him back.


‘Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako’ composed by Edwin Marollano, sung KZ Tandingan and made into video by San Sebastian College-Recoletos. The song is about choosing between the person she love and the person who loves her.


‘Dito’ is composed by Raizo Chabeldin and Biv de Vera, sung by Jovit Baldivino and music video by Far Eastern University. The song is about the love kept inside the heart of a lover and the dream of being with the person he loves.


‘Akin Ka Nalang’ is  composed by Francis Kiko Salazar, interpreted by Morissette Amon, while music video is by Colegio de San Juan de Letran. The song is about a girl in the friend zone who had loved a guy but just prays for it.


‘Mahal kita Pero’ is composed by Melchora Mabilog, interpreted by Janella Salvador and the music video is by San Beda College Alabang. The song is about a college girl who loves a guy that her family disapporves of.


‘Pumapag-ibig’ this taglish song talks about the antics and experiences people when they are inlove. This song is composed by Jungee Marcelo, interpreted by Marion Aunor featuring Rizza Cabrera and Seed Bunye, while the music video is by Mapua Institute of Technology


The Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs 6th Edition Final Top 15 finalists songs were given a chance to be interpreted by artists and each one was made by various universities. The competition strives to make OPM hits alive again in the Philippine music industry.
