Globe Telecom inaugurated its first store outside the Philippines this month of September 2013 in Milan, Italy. Globe finally reached the other shores to give well known service to Kababayans abroad. Put up in Via Capellari 3, the retail shop is strategically located in the fashion and shopping center of Milan where 200,000 Filipinos are living.
The stores offers the Globe Telecom services such as Globe Local Italy SIM that was introduced last year. This prepaid SIM can be used for text, call, mobile data usage and MMS. To celebrate the opening of the store, the company would give freebies and discounts in the whole month of September when they sign up for the services and the SIM.
According to Chief Executive Ernest Cu of Globe Telecom, the store boasts of the first class service and retail experience the company had been giving their customers in the homelang Philippines. In every part of the globe, including Milan, Filipinos can have the Globe’s great service. The Globe officers joined Globe president Cu in cutting the ribbon in Milan as a symbol of the store’s opening to the public.
Commonly known as Globe, one of the leading telecom companies in Philippines, promises to put their customers first. Globe was recently awarded with Philippines Mobile Service Provider of the Year and Philippines Infrastructure as a Service Provider of the Year by 2014 Frost and Sullivan Excellence Awards while Asia Communications Awards hailed Globe as Best Customer Service Initiative. Beside text and call support, they also offer mobile data services including 3G, 4G, LTE AND WIMAX. During the early half of the year Globe reportedly have 40.6 million prepaid customers while there are 2.1 million postpaid consumers.
