The list of Metro Bank’s Country’s Outstanding Police Officers (COPS) 2014 was presented by PNP Chief Alan La Madrid Purisima and other PNP members. Ten of the most outstanding cops who have shown exemplary performance in their field were recognized and will receive something from Metro Bank.

The selection was done by the board of judges led by Senator Grace Poe with Hon. Maria Zenaida Angping(Representative of the 3rd District of Manila), Hon. Jose Garcia III (Mayor of Balanga City, Bataan), Grace Padaca, (Former Commissioner of the Commission on Elections), Eduardo Sahagun, (President and CEO of Holcim Philippines), Fr. Francis Lucas (President and CEO of Catholic Media Network)and Atty. Alex Lacson (Chairman of Kabayanihan Foundation).

Country’s Outstanding Police Officers in Service (COPS) 2014 List in the Philippines by Metro Bank

The cops who made it to the Philippines’ Outstanding Police Officers in Service (COPS) are:
  1. Police Senior Superintendent Cedrick G. Train
  2. Police Senior Superintendent Rodelio B. Jocson
  3. Police Chief Inspector Byron F. Allatog
  4. Police Chief Inspector Reynaldo E. Ariño
  5. Police Officer 3 Michael D. Pontoy
  6. Senior Police Officer 1 Reynaldo G. Solante
  7. Police Officer 2 Arshear U. Ismael
  8. Police Officer 3 Alexander B. Fazon, Jr.
  9. Senior Police Officer 1 Rey H. Sarcon
  10. Police Officer 3 Comet D. Dumangeng

A total of 154 were nominated nationwide and the ten listed names above were the ones who made it based on their records checked along with their achievements. Awarding for the outstanding cops will be done with the winners of the Search for Outstanding Teachers (SOT) and Search for The Outstanding Philippine Soldiers (TOPS). This will be on the 5th of September as part of Metrobank’s 52nd anniversary celebration. Metro Bank will give the cops an amount of P400,000 each along with a medallion.
