Typhoon Henry Updates: July 21. Typhoon Henry's entry to the Philippine Area of Responsibility continues to move toward extreme Northern Luzon. Storm Signal No. 1 has been raised in four areas namely Batanes Group of Islands, Calayan Group of Islands and Cagayan including Babuyan according to PAGASA on Monday. Department of Education (DepEd) have announced cancelled classes for Monday, July 22, 2014 on Kawayan and Naval towns in Biliran Island.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical ad Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned the residents in the areas with storm signals are advised to be alert against possible flash floods and landslides. As estimated rainfall amount of typhoon Henry is from 7.5 up to 15 mm per hour with moderate to heavy rains within the typhoon's 500 km diameter.
As reported by interaksyon, by Tuesday morning (July 22th) Typhoon Henry is expected to be at Aparri, Cagayan (275 km east), by Wednesday morning (July 23th) at Basco, Batanes (200 km northwest) and by Thursday morning (July 24th) at Basco, Batanes ( 655 km northwest).
