This is still not the year for Pacquiao-Mayweather fight that is why on November 22, someone will challenge Manny Pacquiao’s Welterweight World Champion. Chris Algieri is the Junior Welterweight title holder from Long Island New York, town of Huntington. What’s distinct and interesting about his is that he is a former kickboxer and Bob Arum said that it will be an interesting fight between him and Manny.
Right now, things are being fixed between the camps of the two fighters in order to push through the fight on the said date. There are still a lot of things to settle and Arum is 100 percent sure with this fight of Pacquiao. A news source has confirmed that the fight of the two fighters is a deal, only things need to be settled.
Manny Pacquiao recently fought Timothy Bradley and got his belt back after it was taken away from him on their first encounter. This time, will Algieri be able to get the belt from Pacquaio? Or is he another victim again of Pacman’s knockout punch? Well ,it is too early to say and we need to watch out for the commercial that will be released soon to make the match of the two official.
Algieri’s record is 20-0-8 and Pacquiao has 56-5-2 with 28 KOs. The fight will be at the Cotai Arena at the Venetian Macao in Macau, China and can be watched on HBO PPV. As a trivia, it was also the place where Manny fought Brandon Rios in 2013.
