Alyssa Valdez is famous nowadays after the victory of ADMU Lady Eagles’ victory in UAAP Season 76. With that kind of victory, it is proper to study Alyssa Valdez’s life also known as Aly. She was born on June 29, 1993 in San Juan, Batangas, Philippines. Her height is 5’9” and her weight is 130 lbs and was the appointed team captain of ADMU Lady Eagles in school year 2013 – 2014.
Alyssa during her elementary and high school days was already a volleyball athlete. In fact, she played for the Southern Tagalog (Calabarzon) Athletic Association (STACAA). UST then recruited her wherein she played for their varsity club called UST Tigress Club. Her stay in UST brought fame and success in the school, in fact, she got three MVP awards while he was there including Best Attacker.
When Alyssa entered Ateneo in college, she was not able to play for the Lady Eagles instantly since she needed to have a one year residency. Because of this, she waited for that moment to come. After a year of residency, she then played for the team. On her UAAP debut, she got the Rookie of the Year award. During the UAAP 74, Alyssa joined the Fab 5 of Ateneo namely Fille Cainglet, Dzi Gervacio, Gretchen Ho, A Nacachi, and Jem Ferrer.
In the UAAP 76, Alyssa led the team into the finals against DLSU. Ateneo won the championship and Alyssa got the titles Best Scorer, Best Server, Most Valuable Player and Finals Most Valuable Player. Alyssa got lots of appreciations from fans across the country for being courageous and fearless in facing the defending champion DLSU. She is a very promising player that this country needs.
