Singing competitions will always be a part and parcel of the Filipino culture. And this is The Voice Kids Philippines that depicts how talented the Filipinos are no matter what ages. The Filipino kids are the protagonists this time showcasing their talents from blind audition to convince the judges to include them in their circles and proving themselves worthy to remain all throughout the competition. And this is more than just competition because the kids will be trained well to become a better professional someday.
ABS-CBN shows The Voice Kids Philippines which is based on a Dutch reality show. When The Voice of the Philippines Season 1 became popular in the country, there were so many Filipinos who supported the said show from the blind auditions to a series of “knockout” style competition of course with the coaches Bamboo, Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo. This time, Apple is not part of the team for The Voice Kids Philippines so the three remain the coaches. To be exact, The Voice Kids originated in the Netherlands.
Updates: Summary of The Sing-offs for The Voice Kids Philippines Here
In the Philippines it is created by John de Mol, written by Garlic Garcia and directed by Johnny Manahan. The hosts for the said reality singing completion are Luis Manzano and Alex Gonzaga. This is the first season that is why many are looking forward to what will happen to the entire competition proper that started on May 24, 2014.
As what I have said, the kids will go through different stages of the competition namely:
Blind Audition – a minimum of 90 sec. is given to the kids to sing their piece that will convince the judges/trainers to turn their chair saying “I want you”.” And since the mentors could not see the faces of the kids, everything is fair when it comes to choosing who among them will advance to the next round. The kids will have to give their best in singing their piece because they will only be given one chance to do this. In case more than one coaches turned their chair, the kids will have to choose who among them will he or she go.
The Battles – this is where the real battle begins. The kids will undergo “The Sing-off” wherein they will be divided and grouped into three. A showdown will take place wherein the artist with the best performance will be the one who will advance to the next round. They will be mentored before the battle.
The Sing-off – since they are grouped into three, two of them will be picked up by the trainer to be saved and advance to the next round.
Live Shows – This is the semi final round wherein those who went through and survived the “Sing-off” will undergo. Only one kid per trainer will advance to the final round and 1 will emerged the champion.
