Kim Chiu’s complete name is Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu. She is born on April 19, 1990 in Cebu City with a Hokkien descent. Everything started for Kim during the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition wherein she bagged the crown. Because of this, she signed a contract with ABS-CBN as one of its talents. Because of Kim’s friendly gestures and wholesome personality, she was loved by many and that brought her success.

After winning the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition, Kim was paired with Gerald Anderson who is also one of the participants of the reality show. They instantly became love team and did their first movie entitle “First Day High”. ABS-CBN has given them so many appearances on television and talk shows that increased their popularity and soon branded as “Kimerald”.
